Cost: $50 for guild members

Minimum 7- Maximum12

For ages 16+

This workshop suitable for a beginner (who is comfortable with warping a loom) and any more advanced weaver who wants to learn about lace and texture weaves. This is a hands-on workshop where participants will learn about the structure of some of the lace weaves as well as explore ways to introduce texture in their weaving through weave structure and yarn choices. Each participant will warp their loom with a lace and texture weave gamp. A gamp consists of more or less equal-sized sections of different lace and texture weave threadings and woven as drawn in. Very unexpected results can occur when the treadling for one structure is used with the threading of another. Lace and texture weaves are excellent for tea towels, scarves and shawls and your gamp will give you lots of design choices for your future projects. Supply list to follow. Please indicate if you will require a guild loom. They will be assigned on first come first served basis.
